Lerici

Lerici is known as the Pearl of the Gulf of La Spezia, so called by the artists who stayed there and drew inspiration for their works, including Shelley.

In addition to the ancient seaside village, it is possible to visit the Castle, home to the Lerici Geopaleontological Museum containing an exhibition of dinosaur footprints, rocks and fossils from the Lerici and Le Grazie area and a seismic simulation room.

In the neighbourhood there are small villages surrounded by pine trees and broom, overlooking the crystal-clear sea of the Golfo dei Poeti: Fiascherino, Tellaro, La Serra, Montemarcello from which one can enjoy the view of the Golfo dei Poeti on one side and the Valle del Magra with the Apuan Alps and Versilia on the other.
